PRO's LODGE (SIL) Supervised Independent Living

The PRO’s Lodge is a shared housing environment in northwest Houston. The shared housing facility houses young ladies over the age of 17 (18-21) with a safe, nurturing place of residence that cultivates their passions to connect them to lifelong careers in an independent living environment using a holistic approach... focusing on the growth and development of the whole student.

Why?

There are several young adults that are in a transitioning stage in life…. Every year there are more than 23,000 children that age out of the United States foster care system. As these young adults age out of the Foster Care system they are also graduating from high school, which is a very intimidating and brutal reality check. After reaching the age of 18, 20% of the children who were in foster care will become instantly homeless considering that they are past the age limits for half-way houses.
